About Us

The New Hampshire Society of Health-System Pharmacists (NHSHP) was founded to
advance public health by promoting the professional interests of pharmacists practicing in
hospitals and other organized health-care settings. NHSHP membership is open to all
pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy students living in or practicing pharmacy
                in New Hampshire.

NHSHP provides networking opportunities and continuing education programs geared
                towards today’s practice environments.

                                •     NHSHP partners with industry to co-sponsor as many dinner CE programs as possible.
These evening programs are primarily held in the Manchester-Concord corridor, but
every effort is made to offer a program in the Hanover - Lebanon area and the Seacoast.

            •   NHSHP offers two major CE programs annually; each allows the participants to earn five
  (5) ’live’ CE credits.

o        The Cabin Fever program is held in late March or early April in our the states beautiful ‘snow country’. This get-away weekend combines education and relaxation as winter winds down and spring’s first breath touches the Granite State.

o        The Annual Fall Program has been a staple for NH pharmacists for over 20 years. This program occurs on Columbus Day (government holiday) and typically addresses the educational needs identified through membership survey. Participants earn 5 ‘live’ between the hours of 7:30-3:30; enjoy lunch on location and an exhibitor’s showcase.

NHSHP is an affiliated state chapter of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. We send two delegates to the ASHP House of Delegates meeting to help formulate national policy. NHSHP urges members to be active in ASHP but national membership is not required to be a member of NHSHP.

NHSHP represents Granite State pharmacists in regulatory and legislative issues. NHSHP keeps members informed about proposed Board of Pharmacy rules and offers testimony during rules hearings. The NHSHP provides your feedback and serves as your voice to state and national elected officials on issues of pharmacy practice and health-care policy.
